Fruit Sauce for Pudding

¼ cup fat
½ cup milk
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla, or
1 tablespoon brandy
1 cup mashed cooked fruit

Mix thoroughly. Let chill and serve with steamed or baked pudding.
