Leroy Scott was an American journalist and novelist active in the early twentieth century who wrote fiction engaging with social problems and the criminal world. Children of the Whirlwind, published in 1921, follows characters caught up in the criminal underworld of New York who must decide whether they can truly escape the world they were born into.
