This edition presents Virgil’s Aeneid in the original Latin, under the title Aeneidos. Written between 29 and 19 BC, the epic follows the Trojan hero Aeneas from the fall of Troy to the founding of Rome, in twelve books of hexameter verse that became the central text of Roman education and culture for over a millennium.

Note: this EPUB is in Latin. Readers seeking an English translation will find separate editions elsewhere in this collection. The text is cleanly formatted with book and line divisions preserved throughout.
