1 lb. Butter.

2 lbs. Sugar.

9 oz. Lard.

1½ pts. Water.

¾ oz. Ammonia.

¾ oz. Caraway Seed.

6 lbs. Flour.

The dough for the above should be worked well. Break the butter up well with the sugar and water.
