God’s Anger Is Fierce, Frequent, and Endures Long

And the Lord’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was consumed. (Num. 32: 13.)

And the Lord said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lord against the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel. (Num. 25: 4.)

For ye have kindled a fire in mine anger which shall burn forever. (Jer. 17: 4.)

God is angry [“with the wicked,” interpolated by the translators] everyday. (Ps. 7: 11.)

And the Lord met him and sought to kill him. (Ex. 4: 24.)
