Jesus First Appeared to the Eleven Disciples in a Room at Jerusalem
And they rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together.... And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them.... But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. (Luke 24: 33, 36, 37.)
The same day, at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled,... came Jesus and stood in the midst. (John 20: 19.)
