Worldly Misery and Destitution the Lot of the Godly

They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword; they wandered about in sheep-skins and goat-skins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;... they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. (Heb. 11: 37, 38.)

These are they which came out of great tribulation. (Rev. 7: 14.)

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2 Tim. 3: 12.)

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. (Luke 21: 17.)
