Christopher Brookes (16..-1665)
This C. B. printed490 1649 an 8vo of about 2 sheetes, scil. ‘A new quadrant of more natural easie and manifold performance than any other heretofore extant’: but it was his father-in-lawe’s491 invention. I had it from his widow about 1665.

489Christopher Brookes, of Oxford, a mathematical instrument maker. He was sometime manciple of Wadham College: his widowe lived over against the Theatre.
