The lady Hele of Devon gave by her will 800 li. per annum to be layd out for charitable uses and by the advice and prudence of serjeant Maynard1148. He did order it1149 according to the best of his understanding, and yet he sayd that he haz lived to see every one of these benefactions abused—quod N. B.
