In the manner of his Fables in Slang, Ade presents a gallery of American types in mock-solemn Capitalised Prose: a man who periodically falls off the wagon, a father who bumps into culture, a house-hunting wife, a busy man and his batch of letters, and a racing tipster who stood to win $1,340. Each sketch ends with a deadpan Moral.
Sharp, quick comedy from the Indiana humorist, though its opening fable leans on period stereotypes of Native Americans. Download the free EPUB.
