Aunt Mary is deaf, arbitrary and devoted to her nephew Jack, whose college career lurches from one threatened expulsion to the next. When she comes to visit, Jack and his friends sweep her into a whirl of New York theatres, motor cars and long-stemmed roses, and the old lady finds herself enjoying it more than anyone expected.
A light, warm-hearted comedy that later became a play and film, for readers who enjoy family farce. Download the free EPUB.
