Taken away from Wrykyn by a father unimpressed with his school report, the cricketing prodigy Mike Jackson arrives at small, ambitious Sedleigh in a sulk. There he meets Psmith, monocled, unflappable and fluent in elaborate courtesy, and the pair stake a claim to a study, sabotage house discipline and resist the earnest captain Adair, until cricket and a match with Downing’s force the issue.
Psmith’s first appearance, originally the second half of Mike (1909), with a later preface by Wodehouse. Download the free EPUB.
