A Nautilus

This is a picture of a nautilus; and I am sure papa will be delighted to tell you about this strange creature. We can

“Learn of the little nautilus to sail,

Spread the thin oar, or catch the driving gale.”

“This is the ship of pearl, which poets feign

Sails the unshaded main—

The venturous bark that flings

On the sweet summer wind its purpled wings.”
