In this second collection of Rootabaga stories, Sandburg returns to his invented prairie world. The Potato Face Blind Man tells Blixie Bimber how a green rat with rheumatism ran a thousand miles twice, and there are stories of Hatrack the Horse, six pigeons, bugs and eggs, four boys with different dreams, Jesse James and the Queen of the Cracked Heads.
Sandburg’s playful, poetic American fairy tales, as delightful to adults as to children. Download the free EPUB.
