Swept overboard on a voyage to Australia with Uncle Henry, Dorothy floats ashore in a chicken coop with Billina, a talking yellow hen, in the Land of Ev. There she winds up Tiktok the machine man, escapes Princess Langwidere and her collection of heads, and joins Ozma, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion and the Hungry Tiger to free Ev’s royal family from the Nome King.
The third Oz book and the first to bring Dorothy back, with Billina’s sharp tongue a highlight. Download the free EPUB.
