My Dearest Darling Ruby
Fate had lost my treasure
In the valley of dehuby,
Time led on and there I found
My dearest, darling Ruby.
All my days I hunted in vain
Through ice, sleet, snow and rain.
And on the darkest day,
This was my pay,
My dearest, darling Ruby.
Only death can part us dear,
If away a moment it seems like a year,
Life for me would ne’er be bright,
The stars would fail to shine at night
Without my dearest, darling, Ruby.
