Unhappy at home in England, young May Wedderburn goes to Germany as companion to Miss Hallam and finds a new world of music, coffee parties and Wagner. She studies singing, meets the conductor Herr von Francius and the sharp Anna Sartorius, and is drawn to Eugen Courvoisier, the orchestra’s first violinist, a man with a guarded past.
A romantic novel with a real feeling for music, a delight for readers of Victorian love stories. Download the free EPUB.
