Randall Byrne, a prodigy who had mastered Greek, calculus and medicine before most men finish school, is summoned west to treat old Joe Cumberland. He finds the rancher and his daughter Kate waiting for the return of Whistling Dan Barry, the strange, wolfish rider whose presence alone seems to keep the old man alive.
The second of Max Brand’s Dan Barry novels, a classic of the mythic, almost supernatural Western. Download the free EPUB.
