The Free State of Dorimare has banished all mention of Fairyland, yet fairy fruit is being smuggled into the town of Lud-in-the-Mist. When Master Nathaniel Chanticleer, its comfortable mayor, discovers that his own son Ranulph has eaten it, he is forced to confront the sinister doctor Endymion Leer, the town’s buried history and his own long-suppressed longing.
A strange, witty masterpiece of English fantasy from 1926, admired by Neil Gaiman and many modern writers. Download the free EPUB.
