In an empty Sussex manor house long up for sale, a young soldier looks round the room where his family once lived. The play then goes back to the story of Mary Rose, who as a child vanished on a small Hebridean island and returned with no memory of the lost days, and who years later, as a young wife and mother, visits the island again.
Barrie’s haunting ghost play, a companion piece to Peter Pan in its fascination with time and loss. Download the free EPUB.
