The Imp is a small, fearless boy who sees himself as a knight-errant and his Auntie Lisbeth as his lady. When Mr. Selwyn falls in love with her, the boy’s adventures — with lances, outlaws and base varlets — keep tangling the grown-ups’ courtship, in a gentle comedy of English country life told partly through a child’s eyes.
A charming, short romance from the author of The Broad Highway, with an appreciation by Clement Shorter. Download the free EPUB.
