Susette Taylor’s anthology samples Spanish comedy across the centuries: the Cid tricking moneylenders with chests of sand and the cowardly Infantes of Carrion, medieval fables such as the cat turned nun and the naked king, scenes from La Celestina, Cervantes and the picaresque, and later sketches and folk tales.
A broad and entertaining sampler for readers curious about Spanish wit and its literature. Download the free EPUB.
