Short humorous pieces from the years before Peter Pan: the pleasures of staying in bed on purpose, life in a Scottish country manse, a wedding in a smiddy, a patent cure no household should be without, and a return to Gretna Green after the runaway marriages had moved on. A biographical sketch of Barrie’s Kirriemuir boyhood opens the book.
Barrie in his light journalistic vein, full of the dry Scots wit that later filled his plays. Download the free EPUB.
