A learned professor working on the mathematics of a fourth dimension lives with his daughter Nitocris, called Niti, when an ancient Egyptian mummy enters their lives. Past and present begin to merge, and the girl seems linked to a long-dead royal bride. Griffith blends speculative science with reincarnation and romance.
