A. H. Leahy translates a group of early Irish sagas, mostly from the Ulster and mythological cycles, into English prose and verse, beginning with the fairy love story of the Courtship of Etain. Each romance comes with notes on the manuscripts, such as the Book of the Dun Cow and the Yellow Book of Lecan, and a guide to pronouncing the names.
