Boy Woodburn is the fearless daughter of old Mat Woodburn, a horse trainer on the Sussex Downs, and she rides and handles horses better than any man in the yard. The story follows her from a girl with a foal she believes in to a woman with a great horse, through gallops on the downs, rivals, trials and a lover’s quarrel.
A warm racing novel by the author of Owd Bob, steeped in the chalk country and its people. Download the free EPUB.
