Written to be read like a story as well as acted, this short play weaves its stage directions into the narrative. Santa Claus visits the brownies who sweep his floors and the fairies who sew his caps, asks after the good children Gertrude and Walter, and prepares for a Christmas dinner that brings everyone together.
