Pinocchio, still not much of a student, skips school to welcome a travelling circus, makes friends with its wild animals and decides to see their homeland for himself. His voyage to Africa brings hunger, doubts, dates in the desert and a series of misadventures among people who take him for a curious little animal.
An Italian sequel to Collodi in Angelo Patri’s translation; its picture of Africa and Africans is a crude stereotype of 1911. Download the free EPUB.
