Peggy and her friend Jess plan a sky cruise across country in their machines, the Golden Butterfly and the Red Dragon, with Roy and long-suffering Aunt Sally Prescott along for the ride. On the way they meet gipsies and a lost child called Little Wren, ride out a storm, save a farm and fly into deadly danger.
