Following his English Fairy Tales, Jacobs chose stories from the rich folklore of Ireland, Scotland and Wales and retold them for children. Connla is lured away by a fairy maiden, Guleesh rides with the fairy host to France, King O’Toole bargains with St. Kevin over his goose, and Culhwch seeks the giant’s daughter in The Wooing of Olwen.
