When a storm damages the academy roof and school closes for two weeks, Jerry proposes that four friends of the Rod, Gun and Camera Club head for the woods. They race rivals for a campsite, pitch camp under twin hemlocks, cook their first supper outdoors and meet a muskrat trapper in his shack, before Bluff goes missing.
