Young Sam Steele and his Uncle Naboth sail the Seagull from San Francisco and pick up Lieutenant Allerton, who has a strange proposition: an expedition into the jungles of Yucatan. Danger, a novel aerial invention, an ambush, a hard fight against heavy odds and narrow escapes follow as they search for a fortune.
