Link Ferris scratches a bare living from forty rocky acres in the North Jersey hills, a lonely man with no time for anything but work. When he grudgingly takes in a lost, half-starved collie, the dog’s loyalty and intelligence begin to change him, and lead at last to a dog show at the local country club on Labor Day.
