Five young robins are crowding the nest, and their parents decide it is time for them to fly. The story follows one robin through the lessons of growing up, a home lost when a gardener clears out his greenhouse and the anxious Mrs. Robinette, and a second short story, Apple-Pie Order, completes the book.
