Tired of carrying earth and hunting food for the larder, a young ant decides the world is stupid until a passing voice tells him he simply needs a change. His travels take him to an angleworm’s doorway, a pleasure boat, a wild-rose tea house and a hollow tree full of caterpillars, inchworms and other small neighbours.
