Janet and little Peter live in a whitewashed cottage beside a mill-pool and spend their days in the mill-field across the road. The old miller tells them a run of fairy tales: the water-nix, the King of Growgland’s crown, Master Bogey, the tree of pride, Farmyard Maggie, the fiddling goblin and the witch’s cloak, full of enchantresses, cursed kings and clever escapes.
Original fairy tales from a fine Scottish poet and novelist, ideal for reading aloud. Download the free EPUB.
