Cornelli runs wild and happy beside the roaring stream of Iller-Stream, in a big house where her father is often away and no one fusses over her. Then newcomers arrive to take her in hand, and the girl, convinced that she is turning ugly and that everyone must dislike her, grows sullen and withdrawn until a true friend helps her find her way back.
A tender study of a misunderstood child that shows Spyri was far more than the author of Heidi. Download the free EPUB.
