The narrator watches his friend Derwent Rose, a writer in his forties, lose his grey hairs and his years, sliding back through his own past at a frightening rate. As Rose grows younger he takes up again old loves and choices, and the story follows what such a reversal means for those who care about him.
An unusual, thoughtful fantasy by the author of the ghost-story classic The Beckoning Fair One. Download the free EPUB.
