Children throw a party with no grown-ups and draw lots for a servant, only for T. Good to refuse every errand. Short comic tales in verse and prose follow, each about children playing at grown-up trades: the little bootmaker, the little gardener, the little cooks, the young sportsman, the little dauber and the busy bees.
