Baldy is a plain, plodding dog that nobody wants, loved only by a poor boy in Nome. Taken into a racing kennel, he proves his worth on the trail, in the All Alaska Sweepstakes over hundreds of miles of snow, and in rescues of those in trouble. Darling drew on the real racing teams of Nome.
A heartfelt dog story of the Alaskan frontier for young readers and older ones too. Download the free EPUB.
