Queen Medb of Connacht leads the armies of Ireland into Ulster to seize the great Brown Bull of Cualnge, while the Ulstermen lie helpless under a curse. Only the young Cuchulainn stands against them at the fords, one champion at a time, including the tragic fight with his foster-brother Fer Diad. Lucy Winifred Faraday’s prose translation includes an introduction on the versions.
