Little Jack Rabbit should be on his way to school, but Featherhead and Twinkle Tail, the Squirrel Brothers, tempt him into a game of marbles played with oak apples. Short chapters, each opening with a jingle, follow the friends through house-hunting, a little gold ring, wedding bells, the misfortunes of Jimmy Mink and a lesson from Professor Jim Crow.
A cheerful read-aloud for small children, with a rhyming moral at the head of each chapter. Download the free EPUB.
