Nimble is born so small that his mother doubts she can raise him, but the spotted fawn soon roams the ridges and swamps under Blue Mountain, near Farmer Green’s fields. He learns the forest’s lessons, makes mistakes, meets Mr. Grouse in the snow and sees a strange light, in short chapters made for reading aloud.
