Happy Jack Squirrel finds a hickory tree loaded with ripe nuts and sets out to gather them all before anyone else notices. A quarrel with Chatterer, suspicion of Striped Chipmunk, a spell of burglary and a nervous adventure near Farmer Brown’s house follow, each chapter opening with a little rhyme of good advice.
