A king and queen at last have a daughter, but a slighted aunt, the witch Princess Makemnoit, curses the baby at her christening with a lack of gravity. The princess floats away unless someone holds her, laughs at everything and cares about nothing, and only in the water of the lake does she feel her proper weight, until a prince arrives.
A witty, punning fairy tale for children and adults alike from the Scottish writer who so inspired C. S. Lewis. Download the free EPUB.
