After a traditional telling of Cinderella, with the proud stepmother, the fairy godmother and the little glass slipper, this small book turns to everyday stories for young readers: a telephone order, raindrops in new dresses, a naughty pumpkin, a wounded rat, a sad Thanksgiving party and a happy Christmas. Most carry a plain lesson about kindness, honesty or obedience.
A gentle read-aloud of the late nineteenth century, suited to very young listeners. Download the free EPUB.
