Duncan Campbell Scott (1862–1947) is one of the Confederation Poets — the group of late nineteenth-century Canadian poets who first gave literary expression to the distinctive landscapes and experience of Canada. Lundy’s Lane and Other Poems showcases his mature voice: precise nature observation, narrative verse, lyric meditation, and poems on Canadian Indigenous life that reflect, with complexity, his ambivalent position as a government official.

Scott’s technical accomplishment and his feeling for the northern landscape make this a rewarding collection. The free EPUB is cleanly formatted with all poems complete and titles clearly preserved.
