IV On No — Ambulance Train (2)

First Battle of Ypres

October 20, 1914, to November 17, 1914

“The thundering line of battle stands,
And in the air Death moans and sings;
But Day shall clasp him with strong hands,
And Night shall fold him with soft wings.”

—Julian Grenfell.
