Graves, a poet and song-writer, mixes heroic legends, fairy lore and verse from Irish writers old and new. Here are the fairy host singing over Diarmuid and Grania, comic beast fables such as the cake that rode on a fox’s tail, and tales of changelings, giants and the people of the hills.
