A band of young princes, sent out into the world and scattered by fortune, meet again one by one and each tells what befell him. Their stories, from the Sanskrit classic Dasakumaracharita, are full of thieves, gamblers, courtesans, magicians and usurping kings, and include Prince Rajavahana’s marriage to the princess Avantisundari.
A rare early English version of a lively, worldly Sanskrit prose romance. Download the free EPUB.
